We want you to get the care you deserve.
Hello! I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a licensed Clinical Psychologist born and raised in MN. I received my Doctorate at the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology with training opportunities in community mental health and outpatient practice. I have experience in working with kids, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, identity development, and motherhood.
As a fellow mom, I know the importance of quality emotional support throughout the journey of parenthood including pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. This led me to obtain additional certifications in Perinatal Mental Health and enjoy working with caregivers throughout their parenting journey.
Hello!
Are you someone that struggles with feeling understood and connected to others? Does it feel difficult at times to balance your identity with the social pressures and expectations you see online?
Therapy can help. My name is Maya, and I am a practicum student pursuing my Master’s in Counseling Psychology. I am passionate about helping teens and young adults learn how to establish a sense of self that they can feel confident in.
Starting therapy can be scary and uncomfortable, I’m here to support you wherever you are in your journey. My approach is collaborative, I will work with you to establish goals that meet your needs. The majority of my practice focuses on increasing self-acceptance, building meaningful and supportive relationships, and developing effective communication skills. From there, we can work together to learn more about your needs, your past, and how they both interact to inspire change.
A modern approach
As a therapist, I believe the therapist-client relationship is the most important part of therapy and having a good fit is one of the best predictors of treatment. Working collaboratively with you, we will create and work towards therapeutic goals through the exploration of past and current experiences and how they have built beliefs, making connections from past and present. As we explore these connections, we will work to identify how they create negative or unrealistic beliefs, while instilling more helpful and positive ones that can lead to greater overall wellbeing and a more positive sense of self.
